Zillow Review, Free home value estimate

zillowZillow is an online real estate service that can provide you with your home valuation. Additionally, you can use Zillow to find homes for sale, comparable homes, historical sales, and more. One of the nice feature is it’s Hybrid and Arial map view that clearly shows you where the house is located and can give you an idea about its neighborhood.

Zillow has some great features. You can find homes for sale based on a given area. The map will then show you the area and you can zoom in quite well. The aerial photography used is very current. Values for all properties (for sale and not for sale) are listed so you can make some quick comparisons. When I checked my neighborhood, 2 homes were shown for sale. However, there are 3 more homes with for sale signs posted and these properties didn’t show up. Even so, Zillow is a great tool and I’d rate it a 5 star.

Zillow is a great website for checking on prices on homes. I have used this consistently to watch the value of my home decrease. It has been depressing. However this site offers great info on values, home in your area for sale. You can even update your house like if you did renovations

A friend of mine recommended Zillow as a great real estate site when I was looking to buy a home. I found that Zillow had more up-to-date information about the homes I was interested in than the real estate agent I was working with! Zillow provides a great snapshot of neighborhoods and the current values of homes in the area, so you can get a very accurate estimate of how your house (or the house you’re looking to buy) compares. In my case, the houses around me are all worth more, so even in a down market, I am feeling good that eventually my house will increase in value. If you register with Zillow, they will advise you about the ups and downs of the value of your home. In the year since I bought my house, I’ve watched it go up and down and up and now down. Since I just was able to refinance, the Zillow estimate and the actual appraisal are only a few thousand dollars off. So I have a lot of confidence in their figures.

Zillow is a great tool for house hunting, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. I used Zillow to find houses for sale in the area I’m looking in and to compare their values to others in the area. This has helped me make sure I wasn’t looking at the most or least expensive home in my target area. I also like that the site lists how long the home has been on the market. This feature has helped me determine how motivated the sellers may be. The site takes all of this information into account and gives their estimate for what the home is worth. Although this isn’t perfect because it isn’t necessarily based on the physical condition of the home, it is a good starting point for comparison. I recommend the site for any would-be home buyers!

I don’t trust Zillow. My home showed on Zillow with a value of $360K. My neighbor across the street’s house showed valued at $324K. Exact same homes, no difference shown in size or anything on Zillow and no differences in reality either. I just had a mortgage appraisal done on my home and it came in at $300K… I’d say Zillow is way off!

Zillow is a poor site. Within my court, some houses have a 30 days price reduction of as much $20000 and within the same time period some houses have a price increase of $15000. How is that possible. If the house market is down then the prices of all house within my court should relative down in prices. Zillow is a hoax website and the house price on its sites should not be taken seriously.

The information provided about my house is totally inaccurate. This site is totally unreliable.
